Amy and Sam's beautiful Country wedding at Priory Cottages, Wetherby

March 17, 2018

Sam and Amy’s Wedding; The joining of two people on a very special day in their lives.
Capturing moments to treasure on camera is a joy for anyone, but as a contemporary
wedding photographer it is my great fortune to bare witness to many a joyous occasion; the rustic setting of Amy and Sam’s special day was no exception.

Working across Yorkshire and Cheshire gives me great opportunity to take in some stunning locations, and Wetherby did not disappoint. Priory Cottages are as bountiful in charm and character as they are rich in history, and it’s natural country setting made a most fitting backdrop for this wonderful autumn wedding.

October can be an unpredictable time of year weather-wise, but the couple couldn’t have
picked a finer day for their union. Bride Amy looked stunning in a delicate dress of sequins
and pleats, accompanied by a bouquet of dainty white gypsophila. Groom Sam looked a truegentleman in his navy two-piece attire, complete with matching gypsophila corsage.

After the ‘I Do’s’, the happy couple were showered in heart-shaped confetti by their friends
and family, which was not only a wonderful sight to behold, it also made for some truly
beautiful photographs. Later, Amy and Sam escaped their loving ensemble and took to a
more intimate setting for some photographs in the picturesque setting of Wetherby.

With acres of rich, green land, it made the perfect backdrop, and really encapsulated the essence of Yorkshire’s naturalistic countryside surroundings. This was a dream for me to revel in my preference for natural photography, and also suited Amy and Sam wonderfully, and together we were able to capture some really romantic, idyllic mages for the couple to be proud of.

Upon returning to the party, I got a chance to mingle with the guests and capture images of their genuine joy and enthusiasm for the newlyweds. Before my queue to leave, Amy and Sam took to the dancefloor to commemorate their union with their first dance as husband and wife. The addition of a live band was an excellent touch.
